Faculty Recruitment Doesn’t End with the Offer—It’s Won in the Community
Curated community tours for faculty candidates relocating to Bryan–College Station—designed to turn uncertainty into confidence and visits into “yes.”
Faculty candidates often arrive focused on the role, the research, the institution.
But what determines whether they stay…
is everything outside of it.
Where they’ll live.
How they’ll spend their time.
Whether this place actually feels like home.
That’s the gap I help close.
With a background in the Provost Office – and deep roots in the Bryan–College Station community, I understand both sides of the recruitment equation.
I’ve worked alongside faculty.
I know how decisions get made.
And I’ve seen how often lifestyle considerations are overlooked—until it’s too late.
My role is to bring those pieces into focus.
I design curated, one-on-one community tours that go beyond surface-level introductions.
Each experience is tailored to the individual candidate and may include:
- Neighborhood and housing insight aligned with their lifestyle
- Local culture, dining, and community touchpoints
- School and family considerations (when applicable)
- Social and professional integration opportunities
- Honest, real-world perspective on living in BCS
This isn’t a script.
It’s a strategic, personalized experience.
